Life Quotes
It is hard to wash your brother's feet from a pedestal...
RSC Italy

The life issues present us with opportunities to point people in the right way, the way of Jesus and the truth of His Word.  The life issues present us with opportunities to bring Jesus and His compassion to people who are hurting and struggling.  The life issues present us with opportunities to bring people to Jesus and the healing and restoring message of His salvation.
Rev. Dr. James I. Lamb

COME ALL CHILDREN
Please check out the Children's table in the Narthex for fun things to keep your little ones busy! - Marcia

A little faith tip:  Two things you cannot go over board on are Bible Study and Prayer.  Time spent with the Lord will show you how best to serve Him and be a good steward of your time with your family and your church.

"Lutheran Services Florida"
They are in need of Food for their empty cupboards.  Donations will be greatly appreciated.  Please bring dry goods, can goods and other non-perishable items.  Place them in the basket at the rear of the Church.

To: Ms. Joan Snipes and all the brothers and sisters of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Ministries.
On behave of II MEF (FWD) RMTs (Religious Ministry Teams) here in Afghanistan, I would like to send our most heartfelt thanks for your care packages, cards, prayers and support given to our troops.  You really make a difference on the lives of our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airman serving our country here.  May the Almighty God continue pouring His many blessings upon you all.

Jesus: The Author and Finisher of Our Faith
The main thing I'm going to try to remember for my new beginning is this: even though I may have stumbled while dancing in the dark, my Father in Heaven is there to pick me up, heal the spiritual bruises, forgive me for not running to Him for ALL things at ALL times, and say,
"Dear Child, Take My Hand and Begin Again!"

We continue to be grateful for Pastor Sielk's ministry, now in his 10th year of dedicated Christian service among us.

The 2012 Flower Chart is on the table in the narthex.
Please sign for your favorite date to donate flowers to beautify the Lord's altar.  The suggested donation for flowers is $25.00 which also includes the 7-day Sanctuary Lamp.  These flowers are kept on the altar for the Spanish service and the school chapels.  However, if you wish to take, please check with the Altar Committee and they will help you.  Thank You.

LWML

LWML Mite Sunday is always the first Sunday of the month.  We encourage the men to participate to help spread the Word around the world.

Come Serve the Lord and your Church Family

Last Call to be a part of the Church Prayer Chain.  There are only a few prayer requests every year but each is very important.  You only have to contact one person each time, the next person on the list.  The prayer chain is put into action when there is a need in our church family for prayers of the bereaved, someone's surgery, their illness etc.  If you would like to serve on the Church Prayer Chain please contact the church office or Carolyn Johnson 305-279-6815.
Come; let us pray together, for one another.

"For he will command his angels concerning you to guard
you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands"
                                                                                               Psalm 91:11-21a

WE NEED YOUR HELP!   If you don't use your offering envelope, please write your envelope number on your check.  We need to keep things credited properly, for your benefit and the benefit of the church.
... and ...
Please deposit used communion cups in the designated
container at each end of the altar rail after you receive communion.

Thank you very much.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!    IF YOU HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR A MESSAGE FOR THE CHURCH SIGN, PLEASE DROP OFF A NOTE AT THE OFFICE.  THE MESSAGE SHOULD BE BRIEF BUT MEANINGFUL AND BEST TUNED TO FIT THE MOMENT AND THE SEASON.  THIS IS AN ON-GOING EFFORT TO REACH OUT TO THE COMMUNITY, SO PLEASE, KEEP IT IN MIND.  THANK YOU!

Do You Have that Loving Feeling?  Fellowship is a wonderful each Sunday here at St. Paul, when we gather to enjoy some donated goodies and chat for a bit.  But please remember to throw in a couple of bucks in the little red canister on the fellowship table.  This helps cover the cost of items that are not donated: coffee, creamer, sugar, etc...  Enjoy!

OPERATION THANK YOU is still in operation. St. Matthew's Lutheran Church is still looking for the following donations to send to our troops, their chaplain and their ministry to the Iraqi people.  Please bring items to the church office or call St. Matthew's:

  • Children's clothing
  • School Supplies
  • Beanie Baby type toys
  • Coffee, tea bags
  • DVDs, CDs

The Prayer Chain is a group of dedicated souls, who will call each other into action for anyone who wishes immediate prayer.  To enact the Prayer Chain, please contact the church office or Carolyn JohnsonWeekly Prayer for St. Paul is held on Thursday mornings at 11:00 am.  This is a short, informal group prayer time for the spiritual health and needs of our school and church.  If you feel that prayer is your gift, or you have a need for prayer we encourage you to contact either of these ministries.

ARE YOU TONGUE-TIED ABOUT SHARING YOUR FAITH?
