On Sunday, October 4, 2009 we gathered at the German American Club to celebrate 50 years of helping to do God's work in Miami.  We had time to socialize with current members, previous members and visitors.

After we settled down a bit, president Carolyn Johnson presided as moderator.  Pastor Alan Sielk welcomed us and gave the table prayer in preparation for our meal. We also heard from Rev. C. Walton, FL/GA District President.

Next we enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken and/or beef, brown rice, mixed vegetables, and a lettuce and tomato salad.  For dessert we dined on a creamy cheesecake.  Coffee was available as well as a cash bar.

After dinner several old friends provided us with memories of their time here at St. Paul.

We enjoyed a series of skits with people discussing what happened every 10 years since 1959.  First, a couple read the newspaper detailing that decade's current events.  Following that, two ladies came out complaining about the cost of groceries, stamps and the price of homes at that time.

Next, we were entertained by the "Vessels of Praise" dance group.

To further entertain us, the St. Paul's Zany, Soggy Singin' Boys serenaded us with a Sing-a-Long selection of country tunes.

After that, we enjoyed a hymn sing-a-long.

To cap off the evening we raffled off two beautiful hand made quilts donated by GiGi GraffPastor Sielk closed with prayer.  Now we start getting ready for 100!
